Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to request deletion of personal information held by Kavanah Media in connection with the Kavanah Analytics application, including any data we have retrieved from Meta (Facebook, Instagram, or Business Manager) or from Google (YouTube, Google Analytics, or Google Ads) at your direction. We honor deletion requests in accordance with the Kavanah Analytics Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Choose how to request deletion
Option A — Remove the app from Meta Recommended
Best if you signed in with Facebook or connected a Page, Ad Account, or Business Manager. This signals deletion to Kavanah Analytics through Meta's official Data Deletion Request flow.
Option B — Email the Privacy Team
Best if you connected a Google source (YouTube, Google Analytics, or Google Ads), don't have a Meta connection, want to delete a specific account or workspace, or want a written confirmation thread. We'll verify your identity before processing.
Option A — Remove via Meta (recommended)
Removing Kavanah Analytics from your Meta account triggers a Data Deletion Request that Meta sends to our callback URL. We will then delete your data and provide a confirmation code that you can verify with Meta.
On desktop
- Open Meta Account Center. Go to accountscenter.facebook.com while signed in.
- Navigate to Apps and Websites. Open Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites (or visit facebook.com/settings?tab=applications).
- Find "Kavanah Analytics." Look in the Active tab. Click the app to open its settings.
- Click Remove. Confirm the removal. Meta will revoke our access and send us a Data Deletion Request automatically.
- Wait for confirmation. We process Meta-initiated requests within 30 days and respond with a confirmation code that you can verify in your Meta Support Inbox.
On mobile
- Open the Facebook app. Tap your profile photo, then Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Tap Apps and Websites. Locate "Kavanah Analytics" in the list of active apps.
- Tap Remove. Confirm to revoke access and trigger a Data Deletion Request to Kavanah Analytics.
Option B — Email the Privacy Team
- Compose an email. Send a message to privacy@kavanahanalytics.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
- Tell us who you are. Include the email address on your Kavanah Analytics account, your organization or workspace name (if known), and any Meta Page or Ad Account IDs you'd like detached.
- Tell us what to delete. Indicate whether you want to delete your entire account, only the Meta-sourced data, or a specific workspace.
- Identity verification. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on file or, for organization-level deletions, to provide written authorization from an admin.
- Confirmation. Once complete, we will reply confirming what was deleted and any remaining retained data (for example, financial records required by law).
Revoking a Google connection (YouTube, Analytics, or Ads)
Google does not provide an app-initiated deletion callback the way Meta does, so to stop Kavanah Analytics from refreshing your Google data, revoke our access directly: open your Google Account — Third-party apps & services, find "Kavanah Analytics," and choose Remove access. Revoking severs our ability to refresh, and any stored refresh token is deleted within 30 days. To also delete the data we have already cached, use Option B above to email the Privacy Team — revoking at Google stops future access but does not by itself erase data already retrieved.
What gets deleted
When you request deletion, we remove the following from our production systems:
- Your account profile and authentication credentials.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens for any connected Meta Pages, Ad Accounts, and Business Manager assets, and for any connected Google sources (YouTube channels, Google Analytics 4 properties, and Google Ads accounts).
- Cached insights, ad and campaign performance data, channel and property analytics, and Page metrics tied to your account or workspace, whether sourced from Meta or Google.
- Workspace content, dashboards, and saved reports created under your account.
- Support and communication history, where retention is no longer required.
What we may retain
We retain a minimal set of information after deletion only where law or legitimate need requires:
- Backup copies — encrypted backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
- Audit and security logs — pseudonymized records of authentication and admin actions, retained up to 13 months for incident response.
- Financial and tax records — retained as required by accounting and tax law (typically up to 7 years).
- Aggregated, anonymized metrics — statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
For Meta reviewers: Data Deletion Request callback
Kavanah Analytics implements Meta's Data Deletion Request callback. Meta posts a signed request to the callback URL when a user removes the app or otherwise initiates a deletion. We respond with a JSON payload containing a confirmation URL and tracking code as specified by Meta.
| Endpoint type | Data Deletion Request Callback |
|---|---|
| Callback URL | https://kavanahanalytics.com/api/meta/data-deletion |
| Method | POST · signed request payload |
| Response | JSON with url (status page) and confirmation_code |
| Status lookup | https://kavanahanalytics.com/legal/data-deletion/status?code={confirmation_code} |
| Service-level | Deletion completed within 30 days SLA |
Timing
We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with Meta Platform Terms and major privacy laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). If we cannot meet that timeframe, for example because of a complex multi-workspace deletion, we will tell you why and give you an updated estimate.
